THE PIN–UP QUOTE: MAX LAMB
My work isn’t speculative; There is no real demand for high-volume production in order to justify the initial outlay or investment in tooling, or anything like that. Everything I make is bought by a person who I’m generally in quite intimate contact with. I value forming strong relationships with the customer. To me, that increases the value of the object — I don’t mean the monetary value, but the quality of the product, the fact that it will be cherished. Or I hope it will. That’s one of the few ways I can justify digging up the earth and raping the world of its resources.
